Pulitzer Prize-Winning Drama launches Fall Season
TheatreWorks of Northern Nevada presents the Pulitzer Prize-winning WIT by Margaret Edson. The play opens September 10th, 2015 through September 20th, 2015. The play’s plot revolves around the story of Vivian Bearing, Ph.D, a renowned professor of English, a specialist in the metaphysical, life and death themes of John Donne’s Holy Sonnets, who finds herself the subject of research designed to save her life, as she is being treated for stage IV metastatic ovarian cancer. Vivian comes to reassess her life and her work with a profundity and humor that are transformative both for her and the audience.

WIT is directed by David Zybert and veteran Reno actress Jacqueline Fisher stars as Vivian Bearing.
The play serves as a fundraiser for The American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life on September 10th@ 7:30 pm. Tickets are $25 for this benefit preview performance.
Other performances are September 11th, 12th, 18th, and 19th @7:30 pm. Matinee performances are September 13th and 20th @ 2 pm. Ticket prices are $12 general/ $10 students and seniors. All performances will be held at the Laxalt Auditorium located in the UNR Nelson Building at 401 West Second Street ( directly across from the Greyhound Bus Station).
